Two for the Money Movie Review

This is a review for a movie called Two for the Money Movie. It’s related with sport gambling because it’s a 1995 Sports Gambling Thriller/Drama.

Matthew McConaughey is the Actor, Producer. He did television and commercials and a series of minor parts led to what is generally considered, his breakout role, in Dazed and Confused movie in the year of 1993.

The famous Rene Russo is the Actress and top model. From 2002 and for the previous 10 years, Rene has starred in a major motion picture each and every year. Not limited to Thriller type movies, her comedy credits include Get Shorty with John Travolta, Kevin Costner in Tin
Cup, and the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.

A college football player suffers a career ending injury that leads him into the murky world of sports gambling. As a successful handicapper, he becomes part of the largest sports consultant firm in the United States. His inside knowledge and understanding of the football world takes him to unbelievable riches but his lavish lifestyle soon turns to rags..

Many reviews of Two for the Money give it a C+.

The acting is of a quality and standard that one would expect from a cast like this. The script has its moments, the direction seems lacking and the subject matter after a while becomes somewhat boring. Overall, there are many missed opportunities to make this a better picture than what it is.
